Renier Swart is the Sales Director of the Val de Vie Group of Companies, as well as the Managing Director of Val de Vie Construction, Chairman and a shareholder of the Star Motor Group and also the Chairman of Security and Infrastructure subcommittees of the Val de Vie Estate. His qualifications include BCom Accounting Honours and CTA (University of Pretoria), BProc (UNISA), CA (SA), PPRE and MPRE. Renier joined Nissan SA in 1996 after completing his articles with PwC. He successfully started a number of Nissan, Ford, Mazda, UD, Fiat and Alfa Romeo dealerships and is a multiple franchise dealer of the year award winner. He also served and chaired a number of vehicle franchise dealer councils. His entrepreneurial skills were acknowledged in 2001 with the Pretoria Business Chamber Business of the Year award. Star Motor Group holds the current Nissan Dealer-Group-of-the-Year-Award. Renier also joined Paarl Boys High’s Raad van Beskermhere in 2018. Before joining Val de Vie, Renier also successfully completed several large commercial property developments. His Valentia Manor house won the prestigious Best Residential Property in Africa award for 2016/17. His ability to implement a sales strategy was successfully honed in the motor industry and he oversees all property sales.

Olympic Gold Medalist, three time World Champion and founder of the Learn to Swim Academies across South Africa. Ryk’s business career started when he spent time in the real estate industry in the USA, assisting in the development and management of various commercial properties after obtaining a degree in BA Psychology and Business at the University of Arizona. In 2009 he was appointed marketing director of Val de Vie Estate Group of Companies. He develops and implements the brand plan for the group, which included all advertising, public relation, marketing. He is able to conceptualize and implement the entire brand positioning strategy.
Kelly and her family moved to Val de Vie from the UK at the end of 2016 after falling in love with the estate whilst on holiday earlier the same year. Kelly has worked in real estate in the UK since 2002 and sold her 50% share of two highly successful independent agencies before moving to the Winelands. Her property expertise and international knowledge, coupled with first-hand experience of moving to South Africa strengthens our offering enormously.

As the Operations Manager working alongside Renier and Ryk, Kelly implements world class systems to support and strengthen our highly qualified team.

I began my Real Estate Career with Aida In 1991 where I resided in Somerset West and I set out to pursue a career in property sales.

I completed the Estate Agents Board Exams and qualified as an Estate Agent in 1992 and earned my first Fidelity Fund Certificate.

After my first successful year of selling residential property I was offered the position as the resident sales agent for the Helderberg Village Retirement Development, which had recently been sequestrated and required a miracle to bring the development to a point of success. After 21 years of hard work and dedication, we were awarded the winning Development voted the best Retirement Village in the world. Through my 21 years’ property sales experience with Helderberg Village, I gained extensive knowledge in the Sectional Title and Share Block Schemes and specializing in the Retirement Sector. Hard work, dedication and passion for selling property, accompanied by top-level service and professionalism to my clients, I created a high level sales achievement.

In 2014 I was afforded a wonderful opportunity of a new challenge as the resident sales agent for the beautiful Val de Vie Estate, to where I have relocated. I achieved my PPRE National Qualification Certificates NQF 4 and NQF 5

After 4 and a half years from joining this dynamic sales team, I have gained extensive knowledge and expertise in selling almost every aspect of the Real Estate industry.

I was exceptionally privileged to have been involved with the first launch of the Stefan Antonie -Polo Village Apartments as well as the Vines 2 Plot and Plan Development where I achieved phenomenal sales records and accolades within the first 2 years. In 2015, Val de Vie Developments also released the Phase 2 Le Dormaine Development and La Vue vacant stands which included the unique 1hectare to 5 hectare Gentleman’s Estate stands.

I continued to achieve a top sales turnover and I am also very proud of my effective sales skills with which I used to achieve in closing the transactions of the first 4 Gentleman’s Estate stands to some of our highest profile buyers within the first few months of the launch date.

In 2017 I was very excited when I was also afforded the opportunity to be part of the dynamic sales team on the Val de Vie Evergreen Retirement Development and given a new a whole challenge of selling a Life Right Scheme to the Retirement market. With their excellent training program I gained so much knowledge and insight into the Life Right module that I am now able to speak with authority to our buyers and give sound advice as to why retirees should buy into it. I love every minute of this challenge.

I always dreamt of one day owning my own horse and today I have my own horse. I spend many happy moments in my spare time riding by beautiful horse within the spectacular surroundings of Val de Vie Estate. I love every day of my life living in this beautiful valley and never stop believing that dreams do come true.

My passion for real estate started at the age of 27 when I joined a leading national agency in 2015 in the Northern Suburbs of Cape town. It didn’t take long before the clients started referring to me as “the nice guy” in property; a slogan that I am proud to say still stays with me today.
